Country Reports on Occupational Safety and Health in the Northern Dimension AreaThe Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS) decided – through its Occupational Health and Safety sub group of the Expert Group on Social Inclusion, Healthy Lifestyles and Work Ability (SIHLWA) – to review the OHS situation in the NDPHS countries in collaboration with the Baltic Sea Network on Occupational Health and Safety (BSN) in November 2006. The aim of this study was to analyse the status of occupational health and safety and responses to the current and forthcoming needs and demands for policy considerations and for further actions. The study was based on systematic data collection and involving several experts and authorities in each country. The reports have been reviewed in NDPHS SHILWA OHS sub group and BSN meetings, and published at (click here) NDPHS webpages. NDPHS/Developing the National OSH System and Improving Health and Preventing Accidents in the High-risk Sectors in North-West Russia (2008-2009)The projet aims to support launching of the implementation of the NDPHS Strategy on Health at Work (2007) in Northwest Russia. This umbrella programme implements in a systematic way those objectives that were adopted in the new NDPHS Strategy. The project main partners are Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, ILO Moscow Office, St. Petersburg Medical Academy of Postgraduate Studies, and Moscow Institute of Occupational Health (RAMS).
